Also, if you have a white substrate with a light coloured fish, it's going to look like crap, Like, if you had white sand and a white background with a firemouth, it's going too like crap, the light will flood the the fish, and it will look very clear. I think, either a bright substrate (sand) and a black/blue back or dark substrates and a black/blue substrates will look the best, but that's my opinion.

wow huge cray; I have had a few (check the forums for old pics), but they got snatched up by the usual suspects (pacus). I have been thinking of getting more, but have not seen any big enough to possibly hold their own in a tank with larger fish. I am going to check the local creeks; got plenty of them here in Brunswick.
 
Well, this girl here is housed with 4 gouramis and a snakehead... and I guess she the meanest of them all :)
