Hi.. the number two pic is what i would call a indian knifefish.. im norwegian.. and we might have dufferent names.. the sc. name is: Chitala chitala..
i had one about 40 cm long.. its a very shy fish that likes to hide amongst roots etc.. as most knife fish.. if u give him small fish he will eat them off course but i have never seen him aggressive against cichlids etc..

one of ur pics is of a Apteronotus albifrons.. a black ghost..
that is my all time favourite fish.. they got sonar like the dolphins in the white part of their tail.. and cant almost see at all.. really nice fish.. love shrimps, crabstics etc and will eat it instead of live fish at night if kept well fed.. i love this fish.. BUT REMEMBER TO ONLY KEEP ONE .. AND NOT WITH ANY OTHER FISH WITH SONAR.. LIKE ELEPHANTFISH.. :popcorn:

I knew the two fish you mentioned here very well.. but it was nice of you to take the time to give me info on them ;) The only one i still need info on is the Tigre knife fish{if it is one} that one because it is rare i am having a hard time getting info about..thanks :D

i think maybe its a Steatogenes elegans im not sure.. but it really looks like one..
Never had one of those.. only saw one once.. really shy and tender fish.. is that the one u where wondering about..

yes..thanks for that.. i will look up ..leave no rock unturned... investigating everything until i find out for sure if possible, thanks again.
