Pictus cat & other tankmate

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
lol thats good you posted to help everyone lol, i thought it was clear that the 29 was the new tank but i guess everyone reads posts differently, n yeah either get 1pictus or 3, 2 will fight each other, n dont get silver dollars they get too big for your tank and would majorly overstock it, if you really want dithers you could see if some kind of barb or giant danios can survive in there but personally i think the 3 cichlids with the cats will be plenty of activity for the 75 once they are all grown

how big is your gt???? Just watch out cause if he is significantly bigger than the severum, there could be a problem...

it should be fine then, i had a young GT pair in my 120 (they were only like 3.5-4in but already paired) and the only time they really messed with anyone was to defend themselves or their territory they didnt actually go out and chase tank mates belligerently like some cichlids are known to do, but i may have just gotten lucky with mine

It has only been one day but this is working out great. Since I moved my convict my FM is getting his attitude back which is great to see since it has been gone for weeks. My GT and Severum seem to totally dig each other. They follow each other around the tank, and when my FM tries to pick on the Severum my GT stands up for it (not sure if it is a he or a she yet) and puts the FM back in line. Here are some pics of my new sev.
