I thought that since they are rivertine and not from the rift lakes is the reason people are able to keep kribs and jewels with ca/sa cichlids. I kept kribs with my geos and they made it about 5 years which I've heard is typical for them and where as colorful as any I have ever seen in person or in pictures.
