has anyone ever been successful with pictus catfish and oscars? they would be an ideal dither fish if they are fine with them. LMK if this woud be fine or too risky

Never tried. I wanted to say, on paper, no. I also thought I recalled reports of larger oscars trying to eat pictus.

But if Dave is speaking from experience, I'd take it into account.

Oscar people may not come here much. I will transfer your thread to the GAD for your benefit.

Much of the thing with Oscar’s is them having space to not be constantly aggressive, or bored and again the pims having space to get away as a group. Bigger pims are certainly better such as blochii. My Oscar’s would not have been fully grown and my Pictus were older ones. Would not try it with one Pictus and many Oscar’s but the other way round would have less concerns.
