Pictus catfish in south american community tank

wait...you can keep flowerhorns with other fish?(in a 75 gallon) because if it turns out that my texas is a female and won't get that nuchal head lump, then I will trade it back in and buy a flowerhorn.

sorry tangent, but the pimelodella four line is doing ok, I think I have ich in my tank thuogh, but it isn't the salt crystal-like stuff that i see on all the fish at PetSmart (HA!). Instead the possible ich looks like offwhite or yellowish white, does that mean the parasite is dying, and I should keep the temp up?
 
Neverheard of the off white ich but I would keep them temp up just in case. As for the FH they don't really like tankmates at all. Although you can get that one FH that will tolerate a tankmate. Although you can try to adjust a young FH to tankmates when young and it might be able to have mates but that doesn't work all the time.
 
alright the temp of the tank is staying at 88. Its been there for a week now. I am hoping I will check on it later and it will be gone, but it probably won't be.
