That sounds like an ornate pim which should get to around 10" but if you google them both or search on here or post pics you should get a definite answer.

And clownie,what has tank size got to do with it?

mine is in a 150 gallon and mind you i'm suprized my knives and my redtail don't give it any trouble

I was thinking the same, as I had earlier mentioned I've now had mine for 1 1/2yrs in a 265g....and still only 4 1/2...ok, maybe 5" from mouth to end of tail...10" IF you include the whiskers :hitting:
 
yeah i was thinking might be the ornate type because i was looking at the pectoral fins and they look more like those of the ornates and given the size and growth rate its probly safe to say that they are

i don't think it matters much unless they are in a way smaller tank but i know that i have noticed that my fish have grown much faster since i moved them from a 55 into my 150
