Pictus cats with Discus ??

Agreed with prudent advice given so far...no pictus cats with discus.

The cats are too active at night and will spook the discus along with the fact discus like warmer water 82-84F and the pictus likes it cooler.

If you are going to keep nice discus make them center of attention and choose tankmates that will get along with them.

Oh trust me, a small gang of corys will be part of the plan. Along with a little school of cardinals or black neons.

sounds overstock to me. you only have a 40g tank. its recomended 10g per discus and 4 discus isnt a good number.stick with a breeding pair and dithers
