I have two Pictus cats, there tank mates are Red Devil, Tiger Oscar, JD, Convict. Nobody messes with them, well at least not yet. My tank is very stable though, all fish get along. Housed in a 100 Gal.

these things are like fish hoovers .lol...
cant be a bad thing:)

I had one in with two tiger oscars and a pleco and everybody got along great. Saddly my pictus didn't make the 300mile move over the mountains... So I got a Columbia Shark Cat instead, and love him. (just not as pretty as the spotted pictus, but personality is a lot more fun)

Sorry for your loss. Is the Columbian with the Oscars in freshwater? I'd love to get one but everywhere I look people say they need brackish.

Thank You. He was a good little pictus, but the personality just wasn't there like with the CSC.
He is in fresh right now, but he's only about 5 inches and I have seen both sides in my research. Some saying they need brackish, other's saying they don't. The owner of the store I bought him from, who has always been very good about his correct knowledge of the fish he sells, told me that he doesn't have to go into brackish or salt, and will be ok. I have also heard of foot long csc's in freshwater, so I figured I'd try it and if all else fails, I'll just have to set up a brackish tank as well. :)
