I think just as with many koi, the coloration of any piebald fish will vary through age. Does this have to do with a recessive gene?

Mine does the opposite of LiamIrons.... He is full white/platinum most of the time and goes up to 40% normal color sometimes.
How much cooler can you get than a fish that changes colors and patterns? You never get bored of it lol
