Piebald TSN?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Most of the Luesistic tsn cats were once normal color and then they seem to change back to the original normal colors they started with. Osa had one that a guy bought as a normal tsn and then one day it just went all white. Osa had it for awhile and then after a few weeks started going to the old normal colors. No clue why these cats do this.

I believe the color changes have a direct link to stress. Both times mine has changed colors.. there was another fish acting aggressive in the tank... this time around it was the bigger of the rtcs.

Cool looking tiger.

:thumbsup::thumbsup: thanks!

This cats been a pied since it lived in indiana lol, reason y it was brought back to the lfs in the first place... i dont think their pattern change has anything to do with stress, but everything to do with their genetics. Close friend of mine had a juvi pied tsn housed alone for several yrs who changed patterns/colors monthly without any other fish interaction so "stress free".... still jealous u outbid me on this guy vince, let alone the rest of ur albino/leu hoard u got goin over there lol... beautiful specimen regardless of what patterns he throws out.

I'm not sure if this cat is the same one you are talking about.... I didn't bid for this one, the previous owner posted a picture of a platinum cat and he had no intentions of selling it. I bugged him for weeks before he was willing to consider! lol. He told me he imported this cat from SE Asia. I am on the hunt for another one. Both times the TSN changed his patterns.. there was a fish in the tank being aggressive. Of course I could be wrong but that's the observation I made so far. I've only had the TSN for 3-4 months.

Interesting.... that means theres even more out there than i thought lol... id say the only way to get another one is by chance here in the u.s. with a pied sneaking through the cracks into the country. or direct import as ur saying. I remember seeing pics of albino tsn back in 06 from over seas so there out there. Since we get Asias fish scraps over here, prob y we see more pieds like this. All the true leus/albinos are prob being sold for alot more than were willing to offer. Ur very lucky to have this specimen. Ive been lookin for almost 10yrs now lol... ill try and find the thread of the other fish i know. Its in the u.s. somewhere haha...

Are you sure? Some guy here said otherwise. He must live under a rock then...

The truth of the matter is if this fish was as good as you say it would have gone to Asia as they would have paid a lot more than Europe or the U.S. but the truth is they didn't want it that's why it landed in the U.S. no other reason

Thanks Vince, much appreciated
