Interesting.... I don't think it's that bad, the fish will hardly notice it after a while, i doubt they can even feel most of their lips. If those oscars were constantly rubbing and trying to get the thing off i would feel differently, but i think it looks pretty cool.

Probably gonna get done in for this but i really don't see the prob with it, and i would probably try it. As far as i see im sure many people on this forum have kept fish in way more inhumane environments and im sure thats not ever going to stop. If a piercing gets you more interested in your fish you will probably take better care of it.
Nothing compared to the bait Norfolk Spot getting stinger hooked in live lining for striped bass in blue infested water! Now THAT is a piericed fish!!!
