We are working on the bottom portion.....top portion is a temp home for now....notice the water is not running into the bottom pools. UV sterilizer.....thought about it but would rather just clean it up the old fashion way and keep all the benificial bacteria. Just started to hook it up, takes time. definately putting arowana's in there. The good thing about being in hawaii is the constant temp and there arnt any predetors like raccons and what nots. Truthfully I'm not familiar with dovii's.
 
a uv would be a good idea and u will still have ur good bacteria..and i say bring on the dovii really easy fish to take care of
 
I dont like that you pierced your fish but I've done so many dumb things when I first started keeping fish I have no room to point my finger. At least what you did was an interesting idea unlike some of the dumb %^$& I've tried. :D

Still got any fish? My buddy just moved back from Hawaii and left his Oscars there. I guess his GF doesnt want them and needs to find them a new home if you or your friend are interested. I think she lives in the Honolulu area.

I'm on another island....would have to be properly shipped. Anyhow, yes I got plenty of fish left.

I have a salt tank with a clown, sea urchins, starfish, glass shrimp that I caught at the tide pools (TP), bandit shrimp from the TP, sea anemone's, live rock and a lttle coral, a morey eel, cardinal fish, korean angel, a bunch of different crabs, and just gave away my octopus that I caught.

My brackish tank has 2 green spotted puffers, a violet aka dragon goby 2 mono sebe's, 2 bumble bee goby, snowflake eel ( which I am going to switch to a full marine soon) 2 archer fish.

Fresh I got a clown knife, silver arowana, pleco......soon to also have a royal clown knife and a black arowana..........after I finish building the tank.
