Pigs heart

Is the above as benefitial as beef heart ?

I heard beef liver is healthier so i feed my carapo a 1" sliver every 2 weeks

I have never heard of anyone feeding there fish pig heart. I would think that if it was heather it won’t’ be by much. But I still think beef heart would be safer.

if you do make sure you cook it all the way you can get worms from pigs heart

i use lambs heart as i cant get hold of beef heart and they seem to like it, also i feed them liver though that is rare they get it

Pig heart would most likely have more fat - which would be a bad idea .

I use beefheart, and beef or chicken livers. Lamb heart would work well too.
But i wouldnt go with pig heart because it may just be too fatty.

Ive never tried anything else but beefheart for my p's and cichilids......get a fresh whole heart for £5.00!

the heart being a muscle would contain very little fat. You should still trim it properly just like beefheart but it will work just the same. Alot of online fish recipes use the 2 (beef and pig heart) interchangeably which makes me think they are fairly similar.

It was the comment above about the worms which made me decide so I binned it.
