Pike cichlid identification?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Bought this from petco labeled as assorted pike cichlid. I’m pretty sure it’s not a belly crawler. It has some nice colors and when I got it it wasn’t nearly as dark as it is now in a dark tank. If anyone knows the species it is and how big it will get that will be great.

My bellycrawlers hit about 10¨
Since there are over 75 different scienticically described species of pike cichlids (and another 25 or so yet undescribed), and many are very similar in appearence, it can be very difficult to tell just by a couple photos.
Below is a saxitilus from Uruguay, juvie and adult

is it unheard of for them to get 1 ft or more. If so any tips to max out his size? I need him to get big enough to go with a peacock bass and a red pike cichlid
