are their any other ones that could work that stay under 12 inchs but are some what open swimmers?

Maybe C. Zebrina, they’re around 10-12” but very expensive I believe.

Saxatalis is a beautiful fish stays kinda small the problem is that they all enjoy cover of some type and if you do multiple abks then you'll need multiple hides and that just more spaces for the pike and knives to fight over
