well i went out looking to buy a stand for my tank. figured pet smart might be the best bet, since lfs dont always have em in stock. and i run into this store called the Pet Shanty. Figure ill check it out. turns out they have 240 tanks and a ton of fish not to mention several pikes. one about 7" cr. lenticulata which was beautiful. (also a few baby orange pikes), a saxatilis, and another baby that was only about an inch and a half that i cant remember the name. so now the fever sets in. im sitting there with a massive boner at this lenticulata and wondering how do i manage to get another pike when i already have 2, and am running 5 tanks with only one having more than one fish. damn aggressives. and all i wanna do it get the fish. anyone else get this fever and whats the cure? im currently trying alcohol.

Alcohol is probably your best bet. I find that when I drink large quanities of alcohol I am usually too drunk to drive to the fish store. Therefore, the more I drink...the less I buy fish. The only side effect is alcoholism. I wish I would have figured this out before my 3rd 125.
The only cure I know of is to have atleast a male/female pair of every species you come upon. Best of luck to you! 
i completely feel you about the fever. all you vets are worrying me, alcoholism, dui's, buying bigger and more aggressive. im still in the beginning stages of my fish keeping but i completely have the fever and i go all out. my wife says my hobby is an obsession, sound familiar to anyone?
