pike id needed please

hi,i'm new to keeping pikes.i bought this pike on tuesday.its approx 5-6 inches long and i paid £14 for it.i think its either a sveni,or,a bellycrawler.i really need to id the pike as i dont want to get attached to it and then find out it grows to 24 inches.ps sorry pics arent the best

ideal.thanks.10 inch max is perfect.would hikari gold,prawns and frozen lance fish be a good diet for the sveni????ps can you tell if its a male or a female.

Can't really tell from those pictures if its a male or female...but just lookin at its girth and size, its very probably a male...like Taz said. Check out the dorsal when it raises it, if its got a splotch/dot or develops one, then its a female. The belly should turn pinkish red in females too! Congrats on the pike up!! They are GREAT pikes for sure! Are totally gorgeous as adults! :D
 
thanks.i'm still trying to get it to eat lol.ive had dats etc that have been difficult to get to eat so the pike shouldnt be a problem.how long can it take for a new pike to eat????and how long is it safe to leave it without the pike eating?????dont really want to try feeders either as my odoe/delhezi/senegal/ornate would all be after them.whats a tempting food to try to get the pike to eat????
