Hope you got a large tank for him. I say a C. Venezuela. Not the most colorful and pretty common. But they do get very large. 20+ inches.
Do they get that big in captivity? Is it common to see them that large? I told the guy I was going to post it on MFK to find out about it and he said I can return it if I want.
If dats grow as slow as I have read, He will definitely outgrow that dat in the photo and probably eat it for dinner.

156g...I guess he's going back. I have a 253 but it's not for him. Thanks for the info. My lfs will take it back no prob...they know they'll still get plenty more of my money lol.
You usually don't see them that large cause most peeps don't keep them long enough. But yeah they can get that large in captivity. I know Taz has a cincta that gets 20+ and his is at 16" right now I believe, in I think a 150 or something like that. They grow fast. Like I said he will definitely out grow those dats. Especially that one in pic 2, I am suprised it hasn't tried to eat him or kill him trying. My Marmorata killed two silver dollars, a V. Argentea and a V. Regani trying to eat them, and there was no way she could have swallowed them.

Haha, yep, thats a Ven for you, first thing mine did when he got big "enough" was eat two tinfoil barbs and my female con. I have no idea how he forced down that con because it was probably 1.5x his body size but the last i saw of her was a tail.
