Exactly, mine took a liking to a hapala barb that was close to the same size.(It was a good idea to take him back.) I still can't believe he didn't steal a dat. You are very lucky!!!

No can do at this time. One day I want to have a pike in my tank but I'll do more research and not impulse buy just because it's giving me puppy dog eyes at the lfs.

yep, that's an always hungry pike for ya. too bad ya couldn't keep him. You def have to keep the big boys fed or they'll feed themselves.

Don't get smaller than the dats either as they will most likely eat it instead.

and yes, my Cincta is about 16" pushing 17. 150 is only 18" wide and it almost fits that. lucky it hasnt or had a chance to eat anything else. Although I do think it ate a bristlenose pleco.

That's why the heck he's gotta go. Look what he's already started doing. I had some baby SD growouts that he's helping himself to. The Dats are triple the size but I can see it happening in the near future. You sure know your pikes don't you? Thanks again for your help.

I put him in the 253g to spare the Dats though.
