never seen that much irridescence on the flank of the first pic, on a venezuelan.
Here's a Venny I had for comparison

There are many young lugubris-group pikes that have this appearance when juvenile. As they grow, they will change color and lose the ocellation on their caudal spots. C. sp. Venezuela is just the best guess because they are the most common.

All the young Venezuelan's I've seen have heavy striping, have not seen one with so much irridescence like that. But perhaps I'm wrong and it's a very nice venny. If you have pics of similar venezuelan please share them.
The pike in this video is a young venny (I believe- LFS bought) I had years ago

Sorry, I shouldn't have used the word juvenile. The one in H HumanBean 's photo is likely a little older, but not fully grown. Very young C. sp. Venezuela (along with many other young lugubris pikes) have vertical stripes and as they get older, the stripes disappear. However, the bold lateral stripe is more of a stress pattern that appears when these fish fire up, but seems to be a pattern that is consistent in the youngest of fish.
