PIKE SPAWN !!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Jon ~ I meant to ask you, do either of them have a largish black blotch in the dorsal? Both of mine have it, and I'm pretty sure that means they are both females.

The one didn't get it till about two months ago, the other had it all along. I think it has to do with age and size, since the one that had it was larger to begin with.

Interesting about the flower pot Seiichi - we'd love to learn about your friend's spawn, maybe to inspire someone to have more success breeding lugubris pikes.

Jeremy - - - sorry for the delayed reply, its' been chaotic goin to Milwaukee, etc......... I think you are correct about the female having a dorsal blotch. One of breeding pair jumped tank and is gone. We did not get any fry @ the ACA - they came down with a bad case of ich (some died) and were not the in shipment to Milwaukee. Maybe we'll get some in August, we'd like to grow some fry out and see what F1 Pikes are like compared to the usual wild-caught lugubris.
