pikes and geos

would love to do parrots and pikes but.... im not made of money. when you do the math 300 for the pikes with shipping and another 100 for the parrots plus shipping you get the point. i still need to buy my pump 230 plus shipping. plumbing supplies, you get the point. maybe if the overtime holds out but not right now haha. i have been told by a friend of mine to be expecting a surprise for my tank friday but he wont tell me what it is, i guess we will see. thanx guys maybe i will hold off on the geos and save them for another tank, kinda miss my planted tank (thanx rob)

I popped Jeff Rapps for an albino T.Mixteco so jeff jumped in for some pearlies. I talked him out of it cause he wanted some cool colors on a bigger fish and set him up with some H.Temps...
Pics are cruddy cuz battery was going dead quick. I can get better pics later. Fish have been in the 120g for 8 hours post shipping. Rapps ships very well! Asked for m/f combo on trio and got it! So Salty will have fry...maybe.

As far as size these guys are around 4-4.5" right now and will get close to 10" if male. I am holding them for Jeff until Sunday when he stops by to pick them up. They should be fine w/the JD and Jag. As far as the pikes go...we will have to see what kind of personality the killers have when he gets them. ;)
 
Salty congrats on your new chocolates, They are a good looki ng cichlid ( and Cheap compared to the parrots) and not highly aggro like you wanted. Lots of color. I was interested in one but would not hold up to my Trimac.
Now all you need is some CRENCICHLA. Those Lents/Marms that
you passed on from the vendor sure would have looked good in there.:)

You gimp!! You got chocolates? Haha!! You coulda gotten the turquiose severums for cheaper!! Well best of luck on that. Still think you should get some parrots. Even if its just one or two...they are great fish! :D HIGHLY recommend them. Get them first, then get the pikes! ;) Doesn't have to be in the same month either...haha.
 
pikes and parrots are comin (maybe soon) im stuck on a job until the fourth of july or shortly thereafter if all goes well july will be a busy month for my tank. i can pick up my pump, get the sump goin, and place my order. peanut if you could get some parrot babies im sure i could afford them, so get to breedin lol.

:ROFL: It'll be a while, technically they aren't sexually mature until they are 18 months...and I think they have to be a certain size. THEN I've got to getta pair, and try to get them to breed ontop of that. Point is, it'll be a while bro...might as well order you some from Rapps...haha.
 
actually george at shark aquarium has some he even has a pair plus the fact he has my lents :woot:
 
if he sells them before the fourth i am out of luck cause my schedule is ridiculous until then leave at 2 in the afternoon home at 5 in the morn only reason i picked up the chocolates is i wasnt scheduled for this job then was thrown on it the day the chocs arrived. i actually picked them up at 3 a.m. (thanx for stayin up mr. firemouth) but whoever has them george, jeff, or whoever after that well ya know they will be heading my way :D
