;) not at all, seeing YOU apologize is like an angels kiss in spring.. you didn't think I'd report you did you? only a puxxy would do that.. just messing with you a-hole.. haha ;) its all in good fun.

omega, I apologize for derailing your thread, but since its a controversial style of keeping that I personally do not agree with it is bound to lead to some debate. what I do respect is everyones right to torture any living being, and strange as it might seem I'm not sarcastic. from now on I will stay out of this thread since I can't contribute constructively anymore.

very nice fish, I would love the opportunity to care for a pima and I hope you the best in getting it into arapaimamans increadible tank!

its all good man no hard feeling:)

nice setup, kind of crowded for me but still nice.

the pima seems big enough to make a meal out of some of them. but i don't know much about them

This tank is overstocked and way to small for the aros and the paima! Both fishes require really huge tanks and especially the paima is far from his maxium size, where will you take him in 2 or 3 years when he has outgrown the tank at all?
Bogwoodbruce;3393170; said:
Very nice but it really must be said. YOU NEED TO UPGRADE!
Lizardking;3393194; said:
seriously, buy a bigger a tank.

poor pima can barely turn around...

Yes,thats why I have a problem with this tank, putting a pima in a tank this size is like putting an eagle in a small birdcage.
Marcus_H;3400580; said:
Only because some guysdo even worse things doesnt made this situation more acceptable!
This tank is quite the opposite of anything that has to do with proper fishkeeping, and the tank of theop isnt quite better.
No animal should be kept like this no matter how often the water is changed or how oversized the filtration is, it's just way to small, simple as that.
And not only for the pima:(!

if they want your opinion on how to keep their dog then by all means share, if not i suggest people keep their opinions and comments to themselves...

same applies to the buy/sell threads...keep negative comments about pricing to yourself...the seller has the right to ask for how ever much he wants for his fish or goods...the poster here has the right to keep fish as he pleases...so leave the flaming behind folks and move on and if you don't like what you see...just hit the backk button on the browser and not the reply button on the thread...
If you don't have anything to say in the Buy/Sell forum, keep it to yourself, I agree. It's called derailing for a reason. But posting in the photo lounge opens up the gate for suggestions, postitive AND negative.

:screwy: if you got a problem then do something about it not just talk about it

I plan to. I'm new to this hobby as I've said many times so I wasn't aware of any problems like this until now. I'm already an activist for Pit Bulls and do a lot of volunter work trying to educate people about animal cruelty and have personally written my congress man about improving some of the laws about dog fighting several times. You shouldn't just assume that I don't or wouldn't. I'm not crazy I just have an opinion that is much different from yours.

thank you very much so now that the cat is out of the bag that all the members here are cruel...there's no point in continuing with degrees of cruelty...cruel is cruel...lololol
Well your defination of cruel and mine are different. Here is how the dictionary defines it: cru·el (kr

ADJECTIVE:

cru·el·er or cru·el·ler , cru·el·est or cru·el·lest
 1. Disposed to inflict pain or suffering.
 2. Causing suffering; painful.
Putting my fish in a tank may not be their ideal or natural (I do at least try to come as close to their natural environment as I can)enviroment but if they are well fed and have lots of room to swim around and have interaction than I'm not causeing them pain and suffering and there fore am not being cruel. But if I did have to pick a degree of cruelty than of course I would try to go for the least amount cruelty possible. Anyone who does other wise for their own entertainment is wrong (again just my opinion).
thank god there will never be a law on how to keep fish so i'll just keep my JDM style tanks...if it bothers you then don't look...
It does bother me but since there is obviously nothing anyone can do to change your mind than what more can I say. I'm sure I will run across pictures and I'll look and I'll give my opinion. If you can't handle that then don't read my posts. I will not just turn my head from something I think is wrong.
but if you would like to learn how to step up fish keeping, the few members here who mastered it can TRY and teach you ;)
You all can imply I'm stupid and crazy for having a difference of opinion all day long but in the end your ones being rude and I'm not at all hurt by your opinion of me. I could care less.
one final note...where do you think the chicken in your food were raised...or the condition the pig was kept before it was killed...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...think about it...you still eat meat don't you??????????????
I've seen first hand how my food is raised. I've seen the chickens packed into crates so hard their limbs are broken and how painfully the animals are killed. I don't agree with that either but I can't fix the world. I do what I can where I can.
some people are just too ignorant and have too much time on their hands...
I'm ignorant? Even the person who posted the pics himself said he knows the tank is overstocked and small and that is why he is selling the largest fish. I wasn't even going to comment on the small tank because so many other people had and I figured it would be redundant. But then I was moved to comment on your "I can do what ever I want no matter what it hurts" attitude. Thats what prompted my rant. And I have too much time on my hands because I choose to inject my opinion into something I feel passionate about?!?! If only that was the case....

thats nice to know, sheesh man things are getting out of control, mods need too close this thread

Dude, you need wider tank. Its already too small for your aro, what more your pima. Pima's grow really huge and it's not really a tank kinda fish. More of a pond kinda fish. Hope you dont get offended. But I do hope you do something about it.
