i bought it the other day because my large jewel seems to have some fungus on a wound she obtained a week or 2 ago.

i want to know whats the right dosage to use in my 4ft tank?

says 5ml per us gallon. how much us gallon is in an aussie gallon?

my tank dimensions are '

1180cmX275cmX540cm

pretty sure it's 5ml per 10 gallons

1 US gallon equals 3.78 liters

so 5ml will treat 37.8 liters

Are these dimensions really in centimeters? Do you have pics of your fish's wounds? Sometimes fungus can be mistaken for columnaris so be careful with what you are treating your fish.

its was just a piece of flesh which came off after my 2 jewels were mouth fighting. i saw it happen! its deffinately just from a wound!

Fungus is not a common occurrence. You do not really need Pimafix. All you need is water changes to be able to allow the wounds to heal quickly. If you insist treating Pimafix, isolate the fish. Your other fish do not need to be involved in the treatment.

so what if its columnaris? what should i do for that? not really sure what it is or how to distinguish it from fungus. all i see is a small round fungu'sy hairy dot on her lip where she had some skin rip off. how do i treat it then? i cant rly get a good pic but heres one from fishforums.net which i posted the other day

http://www.fishforums.net/content/T...lid-Possible-Fungal-Infection-Please-Id-Thnx/

shes looking alot better then when it started showing. up until 3 days ago she was at the back of the tank and not doing much. now shes back swimming at the front back and forth like she used to befor getting the injury. could she be recovering?

i will do 3 to 4 water changes this week to get rid of any bad water!

From the way you described it, it is not typical fungus. Just do water changes and hope the wound heals. As far as columnaris, it is possible as it has been confused with fungus several times however it isn't the case at the moment. Just something to watch out for though as columnaris is a very contagious bacterial infection.

hey just checking will 1 measurement of seachem safe conditiona bucket of water at a time by the looks of the instructions itll do probably 5 buckets i think.

a bucket isnt more then 60L is it? i think i measured it at 12l! should i jsut use 1 measurement. its a standard size bucket.

FK FK FK crazy. i just did a water change 10minutes ago. i now have 3 hemichromis females all laying on the plate i put in there 2 weeks ago **** not all at once girls :)... well looks like my 2ft'r is finally coming into action brb. cant miss this.
