Pimelodus Pictus -- how big?

Pimelodus Pictus will get 4''-5'' a 6'' one would be huge i see very few 6'' pictus cats How ever there are other species of pimelodus that get 10''-12''
A 55 is a good size tank for them they are very active they like being kept in lage groups but i have found that when they are kept in small groups or in small tanks they some times fight
