Here in Europe there are allready tons of guys with Fidjis, still too expensive for me however One day They are allready on the 2500 euro a pair wich is way better then 6000 euro a pairAnd now they found out that many of the igs from a main breeder are much likely hibrid to some point and so useless for conservacion Aparently some smart a crossed "sligthly "diferent ones to make "color"morphs! Then as it turns out the diferent ones belonged to the new descrived species(they are called blue fidji igs) Even if they werent they should have preserved populacion and locale uniqueness for peat sake
That's awesome. I assume it will be a member of the same genus as the known land ig? Also not sure if anyone looked but that new Fijian iguana is cool too.
Regarding keeping these privately I'm still amazed at the availability of the Cyclura species, when I was younger things like Cyclura were virtually unattainable, along with things like croc monitors and pretty much all Australian herps...it still amazes me that bearded dragons are now considered common "starter" herps.
