Pink on BGK Head

The reason I asked how long you have had this BGK is that when stressed the white piece of their tail will go pink and I was thinking that it could be stress.
As you have only had the fish for 1 week I would probably put it down to this. I am quite sure feeding blood worms will not change its colour as my BGK is 10 years old and 14" and loves blood worms. Make sure you feed a variety of foods as BGK's are notorious for be very fussy eaters if you let them get that way.

If it is eating well I probably wouldn't worry to much. Just wait and see.

Thank you very much valkyrie! they are eating well, though the gouramis have decided they like bloodworms as well and sometimes grab some bloodworms before they sink down to the BKGs
 
You are most welcome. With a bit of time you can actually teach your BGK to feed from you had. I give my BGK his shrimp and earthworms by hand.
