pink tail chalceus!!!??

It has been 4 or 5 days since i got him and he will not eat...I tried chilcid pellets, flakes, and little feeder fish... nothing...What should i do?? he is about 3.5 inches big.

Krill,Shrimp(mashed up),One could try soaking foods in Garlic to intice eating..

Try feeding it with the lights off.Or just give it time.

is it a new tank did you check your water

The tank is about 5 weeks old.. The PH is at 7.0 the amonia is prefect and the nitrate is good.. The light was pretty bright i got it a hour ago to be less bright so and the temp is aroud 78 degrees.. I tried black warms and krill He was intrested had his mouth open but didnt attack.. he is in there with little tinfoil barbs and gaint danios they all get along great tehre is no disease.

He'll eat. My experiences with the chalceus pair I had was just a non-stop feeding frenzy.

He'll come around and get comfortable, and they'll start eating mini-sized Hikari cichlid pellets like candy.

they are quite skittish at first , but will settle ,does it have yellow fins ?
