Well, given space between it and neighboring corals, there is no restriction. The main problem is that anemones will walk around your tank, and might decide to park right next to a coral and sting.

Most corals will recover from it. SPS will have tissue necrosis in the area they are stung.

Below is a photo of a BTA next to a leather. Notice how there are no polyps extended where the BTA makes contact, due to the sting.

Some people have issues with leather and other soft corals giving off alleopathic competition.

This hits nems especially hard, but if you have good chemical filtration, h2o changes, and skimming it shouldnt be a problem. Add your nem first, give it a couple months to settle down, this will allow you to place corals fairly safely after that.
