Supplement your brine shrimp hatchery with Selcon or something similar (a vitamin/fatty acid supplement) if you're going to be feeding exclusively brine shrimp. You might also try Cyclops-eeze, and copepods. Good luck!

B ... the bubbles that effect them are small ones. UGF shouldn't be a bother at all. A sponge filter might be a good path to go instead of the hang on back kind.
Live brine hatched will be the best food for them....keep food small, and feed often.

Thank you all so much for your help! The little guys seem to be doing really well, actively eating. I'm so excited about them, and they're an amazing teaching tool-the rockstars of our fish room, right now 
Next question: is there a cheaper place to find brine shrimp eggs? My lfs sells a 12 oz jar for $50-is this normal? I'm already in trouble on the budget with the boss, so any tips would be fantastic!
I've been hatching out 1/2 teaspoon eggs in a liter of water (adding salt after hydrating.)
