I expect the flow rate stamped on the box would be at the nozzle with either brand new or without media. There is a lot of resistance within pipes - I've found it odd that the off-the-shelf jobs come with a corrugated hose - cheap, flexible & easy to install, sure, but every ridge or sharp corner is turbulence to impede flow.
Suggestion: Minimize the piped distance but don't resort to 90's where smoother bend can happen, and if you've got access to bigger hose/tube, go bigger. A bit more costly up-front, but it's not a terrible idea to combine flex and rigid hose rather than all rigid with harsh, formal corners.
