Why not a wimple but these aren't agreesive though.

When Wimple young they can easy group(shoal) but once they hit mature and adult size Wimple are aggressive.

This thread really shouldn't be encouraged, guys...piranhas are illiegal in Cali. I suggest you check with your local DNR to see if that applies to Wimples or not. Otherwise I don't feel that it is in the best interest to the keeping of piranhas as a hobby, or actually keeping an illegal animal. What happens if you get caught? You get fined, and who knows if they terminate the animal, or just send it to the nearest aquarium. How is that fair to the piranha?

Besides, piranhas aren't that agressive 99% of the time. I you want a guarenteed mean & bad @ss fish, you're on the wrong board.

I know cichlids are extremely aggressive, I've never had Oscars but I hear they're pretty aggro too! Consider them instead of breaking the law.

I totally agree sushi but we are disscussing the fact if there legal. None of us probably have them but we simply want to have some back round knowledge on them. piranhas are illegal in florida so the fact that the wimple might not be illegal, so it would be interesting to have.:)

I love having my piranha, and I think it's ridiculous that they're even illegal!!

As I said, your local DNR would be able to give you the information on whether or not Wimples are legal.

small 1" serra rhom will be fine in a 29 gal for quite some time, they tend to grow very slowly compared to the red bellies.
