Fish eat other fish!!, it does'nt matter what the other is if it small and tasty looking . it's geting chomped

convict's are a loved & hated in the hobby , they are use's as feeder's because of the fast rate of breeding and the simpleness of it . myself I have a convict I love them but I would breed and feed them to my larger cichlid's .

IMO I think he should continue to breed the con's or try .. but put up a section of egg create to divide off a section of the tank for the smaller one's . the larger white con seem's to handle it self so leave him mixed with the pirhana. and it did'nt look injured or sick it looked quite ready to nip that passing RBP ..

That's the best idea I've ever seen put into effect in a tank... maybe I'll try that when I get a Pirahna tank up and going in the next year or so

tical, its worth the try as long as your tank is big enough. the cons will defend a large section of the tank and the p's will not be afraid to take a chunk if they feel the need to. it worked for me tho, it may work for you.
