piranha and oscars

Too true about the convicts, I had two of mine get injured in my other tank so I threw them in the p's tank. They lasted about 5 days until they started getting confortable to rearrange rocks and chase eachother out of territories and unfortunatly into Perry the piranha's territory.

Same here man, Mine are just Juvis an they arnt scared. They act like anything I put in there tank is food... Including other P's...
 
cant compare the two.shoaling piranhas are not aggressive in the cichlid way.they are just effecient killing machines and if they are really hungry,they will go after and tear apart a big aggressive cichlid,but if they are not,they will easily allow themselves to be bullied by the cichlid.
the usual story when people put in a bigger oscar with juvi rbp-the oscar chases the piranhas and they hide .and then suddenly one day the owner finds the oscar stone dead and partly eaten,or he just cant find the oscar,it disappers.
wont work anyway.
 
my rbp killed everything in the tank including the other rbps...it even tried to bite my hand as i would do cleaning...it would wait at the bottom of the plastic plants till i went to pull them out..as my hand would go for the plant...it would go for my hand...it was about 9" and 3yrs old when my mom who was fish sitting killed it with a hot water change...

I use neons also, something bout 50 neons schooled together next to big ol rbps.can't beat it! IMO. I wanna see video too JP!
