piranha feeding

do piranhas eat fresh water shrimp. just asking cause i just bought 7 of them shrimp and i have put them together with my 5 x 2.5-3" piranhas. i dont know what kind of shrimp they are, they about 1-1.5" they are transparent and they have two long thin arms with small pinsers on it aside from the tinier ones that they use for feeding.

Yes they do. They practically eat anything, if you know how to "train" them.

sounds like crayfish to me, what color? i wouldn't leave them in with the Piranhas.. might not have any crayfish in the morning.

since they're transparent they're probably large ghost shrimp...maybe even young machobrachium sp? either way at that size they're food
