well something tells me, you havent kept, very many, if any p's, you do get your sissy ones, but you also get aggrseive ones, it all depends on the fish, and this kind of reply should get you banned;)

the reason i wouldn't is becuase with 7-8 pygo's such as red bellies in a 150, i belive that they wouldn't get above 8", and being that i like big p's, i like to give them as much room, as possible. so the less p's, the faster the bigger they grow. plus i think just in general 8 pygo's in a 150 is somwhat crowded.

Got to disagree with you there XR, 8 red bellies are fine for that setup. There’s plenty of room for them to grow just as quickly and to the same size as a smaller shoal in that tank (as long as there is no overstocking). And following the 20 gallons per red belly rules means you can’t go overstocked.

But I agree with you here XR, snakehead seems to be a bit naïve in his judgments of piranhas in general. Sure some individual piranhas or new piranhas can be skittish. But the larger majority of individual piranhas are not ‘scared fish’. They are skilful predators and scavengers with tactics and teeth, and grow to decent sizes. What more can you ask from a monster fish? Except of course if you have not kept many piranhas so want to jump to conclusions and give insignificant advice. Snakehead, if your experiences with piranhas have not been to good, I feel bad that you have not experienced their potential. But no need to be idiotic about a fish people are passionate about, and no need for the immature foul mouth (you could word things a bit better maybe?).

well alright, the reason i say that is because on another website, a simalar situtation was occuring and a very experenced pygo keeper, said pretty much my exact words, he keeps 4 reds in a very nice planted 150, and his grow blazzingly fast. though in my opinion, people mistake the 20 gal per p rule, mistakenly thinking they can keep a rbp in a 20 gallon tank, when the rule if you follow it really starts after the 75 gal required as minimum for rbp's is met., but i suppose your way would work fine too:D
