just wanted to know what you guys use. mine are almost 2 inches...and the stuff i have in there is gettin a lil to small for them... i mean what do people give there 10 inch piranhas to hide haha. do i really need hiding spots? i have a rock formation they can hide in...but not for 5 of them lol...

I use wood and plants but i try not to give them too many spots because then they never come out lol.

haha ya. i feel like taking all the hideouts out. its hard having natural hideouts...these store bought blue caves are ugllyyy

a bunch of live plants and driftwood... they normally spend all of their time out in the front of the tanks tho

why did i hear so many people saying dont do live plants with them....and how can i keep live plants when people say dont have the aquarium lights on cuz piranhas hate that and its too much

live plants are fine in piranha tanks, you just have to select the right plants and do things right. i don't know why people say that stuff about lights, i think it's because people either dim their lights or don't have any lights at all and then once they turn on the light, they aren't used to it so they freak out.

i have some really bright lighting over some of my tanks and i have never had any problems whatsoever, the key is to start them out with light over their tank or slowly adjust them to it and keep the lights on timers so that they can get used to the lighting periods.

I have used live plants since I got piranhas. They are fine with them. They may take a couple of bites out of them but besides that nothing major. They will eventually get used to lighting but it is never good to leave it on all the time.

driftwood and plants are fine. just pick driftwood pieces with blunt edges, to eliminate any chance of your p's stabbing themselves. i put my plants in the middle of the tank, so my p's more or less feel secure whether they hang out at the front or the back.

get alot of cool driftwood malyasian if your lfs store sells it and get some fake plants, some look really good. i mean are you trying to keep a garden or fish?
