I deff think it can last more than 2-3 years in a 75 gal, was going to move it when it gets over 12"

Well, like I said that depends on everything else. Take the 2 - 3yrs as a generic guideline, the reason I say that time period is most rhoms are around 10" by then. It would be wise to give it a new tank asap as not to impede it's growth.
 
Aside from that, moving a 10"+ rhombeus isn't going to be very fun; unless of course you plan to use the clove oil technique.
 
There is no way a rhom is gonna be 10" in 2-3 years. they get about 5-6" the first year and then its about an inch a year after that. so your looking at min 5-6 years but more likely 7-9 because growth slows down even more after 7-8"

Right, nvm. Sorry it's been a while, I forgot serras bust out to 6" then slow down.
