Having kept piranhas for years, and not jsut red bellies but all spcies of the pygocentrus genus and 4 of the serrasalmus I can tell you that your pbass WILL NOT be a permanent member of your tank!

i think i realized that yesterday. i didnt witness any niping but i noticed my pbass's top fin is a bit nipped at. there still together since the 28th of sept but ill prolly be moving them soon.

I wont critisise you for trying somthing new to your self. I like to see for my self also. So do as you pleas, and have fun with the hobby. lord onle knows I have put some realy stupid things together just to watch it not work over time. Maby they P,bass

What size is it.:headbang2

Hey man, just wonderin, Im thinkin about gettin some pirahanas and is it true that they leave so much dead food at teh bottom that you have to clean the tank everyday? Is keepin pirahans worth it in your opinion?
Great tank by the way, if I end up gettin them thats what I want it to look like...

I will tell you this: YOU GOT BALZ MAN!!! I agree with what JD2.76 said i too have kept piranha for years and all types too. The only thing that has lived with my piranha are other piranha and Pleco's, Big one's. Good luck hope you didn't pay much for them because i will tell you 100% !!!!! they are future food!!! Good Luck man by the way did i say that this guy hass Balz!!! ha ha ha. Oh yea by the way those are some FAT fish, they look like they are gonna sink...

I've had a pacu living with my 2 RBP's for over a year now, hell half th etime I think the pacu is starting the figthts or is more aggressive then the pirahnas.....

nice ps and tank dude! feel sorry for the pbass.. thats 1 expensive future feeder u have there. i wish them luck but i wish u rescue them b4 anything bad happen to them. btw, what u feed ur Ps? theyre FREAKING FAT!!! :nilly:

Send me th peacock, pullease :) Silver dollars and tinfoil barbs work well with P's so do tiger barbs, they are all faster than the RBP. I have also added neon tetras and cardinal tetras with large P's as the tiny fish do not trigger a feeding reflex

how big were ur p's when the neons survived? i want to add some tetras as well? i have seen in books pics of large rbp's and tetras living in a comunity? mine r from 5"-7.5" long think the tetras would survive?

yeah, I agree with the other guys, even though i've never kept pirahas before, I think your pbasses will be piranha food soon...
