piranha or pacu?

definately a pygo natt. you can't tell by teeth, you'd have to know exactly what piranha teeth look like, pacu have teeth as well. the jaw is the best way to tell, or the tailfin band. definately a red belly piranha though.

not a pacu at all ..i own one rbps when they are small like that look like pacu but they are usually mre silver in color with more shiny speckles on their body whereas the pacu is more grey in color....also a pacu is much more red on the belly and pacu have this tiny little nub like fin right on their back by their tail fin its cute.. but yeah to someone who doesnt know the difference the best way to tell is by how their jaw juts out to a point almost....pacus are rounded

Also agree that they are red belly piranhas. Look like a good pair, probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get a couple more, they usually do better in small groups.

Those are definitely piranhas. The jaws are protruding. My reds looked exactly like those. I have had have pacus too from the time they were babies and I can tell the difference now pretty good.
