I don't Know
Ok I'm considering getting two redbelly piranhas for my 36 gallon bow front. I've had it running for 2 years and am just getting rid of a parasite that took out all of my inhabitants. (A butterfly fish, Gold Nugget pleco, and my 5-year-old GSP :(.) I put one teaspoon of slt per gallon, will this be good for 3 rbs?

A 36 gallon is way to small for 3 RBPs. You could use a 55 when they are still small but you will want to upgrade to a 75 before the become full grown. If you really want carnivorus fish in that tank, you can consider exodons/

aside from the tank size I'm more concerning about the parasite issue.
what are you using to get rid of the parasite? what parasite is it?
I don't think salt is going to kill off any parasites other than ich.

I have 3 RBP's they seem to have ICH, I raised the temp and it seems like it's helping until I'm able to get some medication but go with a 75 gallon tank

add salt instead of meds if you haven't already
