- Filming set to begin Spring of '06.

- Will be distributed by Dimension Films.

- Budget reportedly 20-25 Million (must mean lots of CGI fins n limbs).

Will it be as good as the original? Better? Will it even be as good as Frankenfish??? Doubt it, but I'll still see it.

yeah it is pretty bad...tons of remakes (especially horror) in the works these days, including remakes of remakes....from the 80's!!

Films such as, The Birds, The Blob, Day of the Dead, The Fly, The Hills Have Eyes, Pet Cemetary (??), Prom Night, Scanners, The Thing, and Night of the Living Dead (3D), among others, are all being regurgitated for your $13.50 viewing pleasure (that is if any of these flicks actually get theatre treatment..)

is there ANY remake thats been as good as the OG version? i cant think of one

I collect movies and i couldnt agree more remakes tend to suk and the movies based on comics Casper lol just seen the ad for Curious George the movie yep going rush out see that one :(
