This post is beat to death, 3 reds in a 55. you can put in 4 maybe that way when one gets murdered you wont be searching for one that is the same size as your fish. small shoals are hard because when 3 fish turns into 2 fish, it becomes one fish very quickly.

yes i agree with most i have 3 NOW 2 p's, i bought 3 they were small about an 1 long if that, now the two ganged up on the one and its now gone so that leaves two, they are still very small ive been thinking about adding a VERY LARGE pleco to help with alge
