Piranha w/ PBass?....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The RTC won't last a day.

I learned the hard way and put an RTC in the tank that was the same size as my P. I even fed my P before adding the RTC. The experiment lasted 3 hours :(

Not a good idea, I wouldn't recommend it.

There was a thread here on MFK about a public aquarium where piranhas were in a tank with big pbass. So you see it can be done in a huuge tank.
IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE TANK SIZE.
In a 180g, i wouldnt do it.

in the their native waters, pbass and piranha's do live together. There is a vid on you tube where adult-size pbass eat piranha's. Then when the water's hit the dry season, the piranha's go in a feeding frenzy and take on the pbass.
back to subject, in a 180g, it simply won't last long. BUT, i once had a 4" purple sanchezi with a 10" RTC and a 4" red devil in a 20g long tank, but i had the rd and rtc in there when they were small to grow them out and one day i experimented and decided to throw my p in because i had tank issues. everyone survived in the tank for a good couple months until it was time for my rtc and rd to go in a bigger tank.
