Very irresponsible! Personally, I think that is probably close to the worst thing you could have posted here. That is the only thin I have ever found offensive on this forum. I am very new to fish keeping but that has nothing to do with the fact that video is deplorable! That was tragic to watch.

you should watch some videos of lions eating in the wild. plus its not my video. just trying to find out why a cichlid would survive with piranhas. even if they were my piranhas i would feed feeder fish to them. i dont think that makes me a cruel person. theyre called feeder fish.

at my lfs, they have 2 large red bellys, like 5-6 inhes each, and there living in a tank with things like parrot fish, a few flower horns, some jack dempseys, and a few plecos all over 15 inches. ive bben there when it was feeding time, and the red bellys were always the last ones to eat, they were always pushed around in that tank. imo there not that mean of a fish. yes they attack food like no tomo, but they really only seem to get more violent when in huge schools.

The cruel part is the intentional DROWNING OF A RAT!!!!! There is nothing at ALL natural about dropping a rat into a fish tank and drowning him. I am fully aware that lions and other predatory animals eat live things. Even that snake and lizard keepers must feed them mice and baby mice. But to drown a rat. Jeez man come on you can't say thats OK.

Rodents, birds, and some reptiles do sometimes end up becoming pirahna food naturally.

The Amazon Bamboo Rat, Dactylomys dactylinus, is a south american bamboo rat species from the echimyidae family. It is found in bolivia, brazil, columbia, equador and peru.

i dont see any problem with dropping a rat in a fish tank if the fish are willing to eat it. its just like feeding a live pinky, frog, crayfish, and or any other feeder. i used to feed my python rabbits, and ducklings. is that bad? i dont think so.

If you're into drowning the thing for your fish to eat it, you've got issues.:irked: Why not just feed it a dead one, or something else. Why feed it something alive? This is cruel, and doesn't need to happen in aquaria. In the wild yes, not at home. The drowning of a mouse for one's amusement is sick.:screwy: And anyone who listened to them talking in the background heard them laughing at it. :swear: These are the people who end up killing someone for fun.

"but he was such a nice boy, all he liked to do is take care of his fish" :barf:

It's just as much fun to watch them rip into something that is already dead, or prepared. These arsholes need to have their hands weighed down in the tank and see how they like it.:owned:

i sometimes feed my oscars pinky mice as a treat... like twice a month.... but it looks nothing like that video.... the mouse doesnt have time to drown and its usually one gulp and done ... hell the mouse barely has time to get wet:ROFL:
