i sometimes feed my oscars pinky mice as a treat... like twice a month.... but it looks nothing like that video.... the mouse doesnt have time to drown and its usually one gulp and done ... hell the mouse barely has time to get wet:ROFL:

That's fine, it's not tortured by drowning, then ripped apart alive. ;) The torture just gets me. Yours go quickly, this was way too drawn out.:irked:

even if they were my piranhas i would feed feeder fish to them. i dont think that makes me a cruel person. theyre called feeder fish.
dude, they're "feeder" fish because they're cheap and easy to breed, not because they're any different from other fish. there are a few guys on here that breed convict cichlids for feeders, and those are actually a much better food than 99% of "feeder fish" because the feeder fish often come in with parasites, fungal infections and bacterial infections that not only make them much less nutritious but also carry the risk of spreading the diseases to your fish.

agreed, i feed mice to my snakes because they need to eat, i don't find it amusing or get entertainment from it and i now feed only frozen, not because i feel sorry for the mouse but because it is a lot safer for my snake. she almost got her eye bitten out by a mouse(split the scale above her eye in half) because it was alive and she got it by the hind legs as it was running away, the same can happen to fish.

I wasn't too keen on the weighted down mouse... not my style. The mouse fed to the wolf fish was much more palatable. I don't think I would feed mice to fish, I don't think they digest them well, and there is a lot of detrius from the bones/hair and etc.

Back to the OP, many people do many things with fish that are not recommended. Keeping cichlids with piranhas may work. It may work for 3 months, 6 months or less than a day. It may work for a year. Will it work forever? Probably not.

I dont agree with the drowning of the mouse, a horrible death. When I had my snapping turtle I just got them from the mouse trap

i think they just wanted to see something get eaten alive and see what happens in nature in first person. its not like they would take a mouse and drown it in an empty tank or do some torture for enjoyment.
piranhas are supposed to be sissy fish. probably why that convict is surviving with 2 rbp

another vid of someone doing something stupid with their fish... really I am tired of people posting this crap... We get it, people like to try to things that they is cool, but in reality is very sophomoric. I hope the thread is closed like most others that post vids of cruelty... I do not remember a mouse tieing a weight to himself and committing suicide in nature... had the mouse been dropped in then fine, but letting it drown... too much

We don't need this kind of crap posted. It causes controversy ever time. There'll be peace when I am done.
