I just finished cycling a 180 tank and i used 16 6 month old convicts. Ok, after 5 weeks the tank parameters are perfect to add my 4 6inch piranha's. Well its been 2 days and the piranha seem to love the bigger tank but haven't taken out any convicts yet. In fact, they seem to be getting along great. What's up with that?

convicts can be mean

it'll take time don't feed your p's you'll see no more convicts

its been 2 days and i haven't fed my 4 P's since i've put them in the 180 gallon tank. How long before the convicts disappear?

if theres pairs in ure group of convicts it mite be hard to get rid of them

convicts are fast and if you have hiding spaces then chances are your piranhas will never finish them off.

or theyll kill ur p's if they start breeding maybe. long as p's dont catch them off gaurd. depends on how big p's and cons are

depending on their size I can't really see that happening. I've seen cons charge piranhas head on. I've also seen piranhas bite those same cons in half. JP was right, your cons are fast, and your P's are probably well fed. Skip a meal or two and those cons will start vanishing, but I don't really recommend starving your P's.

Piranhas are not the feeder killers people imagine them to be. Some P's won't even eat in front of you...

Post a vid/pic of your cons and red bellies! Yeah cons are survivors, although i think a lot of them will get picked off in the near future.
