Post a vid/pic of your cons and red bellies! Yeah cons are survivors, although i think a lot of them will get picked off in the near future.

i think a big part of it is just attrition. Cons breed so fast and frequently, and they're such a hardy species that the P's can't catch enough of them to eradicate them all.

I just finished cycling a 180 tank and i used 16 6 month old convicts. Ok, after 5 weeks the tank parameters are perfect to add my 4 6inch piranha's. Well its been 2 days and the piranha seem to love the bigger tank but haven't taken out any convicts yet. In fact, they seem to be getting along great. What's up with that?

The convicts are doomed, it is just a matter of time.....

I agree completely, but like it was said earlier the second those piranhas skip a meal is the day of Armageddon for the Cons.

Its been a full week and i went from 16 convicts to 14. when's the carnage going to start happening?

never. if you want the kind of carnage your expecting you should buy a grizzly bear, or better yet rent a horror movie.

Harsh, but true. Tough love!

if you want those cons gone that badly just remove all the possible hiding spots and stop feeding your P for few days to a week. just be aware that you may notice your P's may turn on to each other if they couldn't manage to catch those convicts.
what size are the convicts and your piranhas anyway?
