piranhas in a 29

What i plan on doing and i'm 13 is to use an average swimming pool you can get from the store. The stronger kinds not the ones you blow up with an air pump and make that into a tank. And put a net over it too, :)

not to sure if that would work bud, or you'd really really have to make sure the p's cant bite thru the material, and you'll definitely need to find strong enough filtration and heaters for this "project"

Well that don't make it right, with a little research on your part you'll find that red bellies need to be kept in groups and need a little larger of a tank.

Although I did keep three 6-7"ers in a 65gallon I would say minimum tank size would be 75 gallon and 3 is the minimum number for the shoal.

arnt 65's the same as a 72 except for height??

anyways yeah reds should be kept in bigger groups or "shoals" due to they're skittishness. piranha's produce alot of waste and ammonia, and are very weiry of these pollutions

My 65g is only 3 foot long, so the 4 foot 75g would make a much better choice.
